After a several month hiatus, I’m happy to be blogging again, this time about a fun project I had the pleasure to work on earlier this year.
It’s been a while since my last post about life on tour -or any other kind of post, really-, so it’s time to get back down to blogging business.
It’s hard to believe that it’s almost been a year since the My World Tour took us to Ottawa, Canada’s capital. We only had a day off to explore the city, but when we got there the hotel rooms weren’t ready, so we couldn’t go too far. By the time we got the room, took our much needed showers, and grabbed a bite to eat, half of the day was already gone
I love pasta so much, I could eat it every day.
There are many ways to make pasta salads, but this recipe below is one of my favorites and it’s a wonderful side dish for the summertime.
Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!
Now that summer is officially here, it’s time for some cool dishes that go down better on hot, humid days.
About five weeks ago, Robert and I went on our late honeymoon to Menorca (also spelled Minorca), Spain, and it was the best vacation we’ve ever had so far.
After Nashville, the My World Tour stopped in Indianapolis, then Columbus, OH, and Auburn Hills, MI. We had four or five days off before the next concert in Toronto, and while some of the crew went straight to Canada, Robert and I decided to fly to New York. It was nice to be home for a few days.
Cats love to be curious and chase things. Chicken chases any moving light or object… and sometimes he even chases non-existent objects. Or maybe there are ghosts in our home.
Anyway, the other day I took this video of him going nuts for the laser pointer. It never gets old!
Usually when people read the word meatballs they immediately think of spaghetti or pasta sauce. Well, I’ve cooked this other recipe quite a few times now, and when I read meatballs I think of this delicious sauce made of vegetables, chicken broth, and a touch of white wine. It’s not a quick dish to prepare, but it is worth the effort.
After Orlando, the My World Tour started heading north and took us to Sunrise, FL; Charlotte, NC; Duluth, GA; and Nashville, TN.
We had a day off before the concert in Nashville, which means we could have been exploring the city all day. Instead, Robert and I stayed around the hotel area –right across from the Country Music Hall of Fame. It was too hot out.
